The house
A contemporary house in the stony Agafay plain, about twenty minutes from Marrakech, with the bare desert hills on one side and the snow of the Atlas on the other. The lines are low and minimal: earth-coloured walls, olive trees, lawns and long reflecting water.
Twelve bedrooms sleep up to twenty-four. Three are separate 55-square-metre lodges, each with a bath sunk into the floor facing a fireplace, a private garden and an outdoor canopy bed under the olives. Three more fireplace bedrooms have their own bath gardens and a terrace with a bed for sleeping out under the stars; the rest are in a more traditional Moroccan style. Outside are a heated 25-metre pool, a 200-square-metre pool house with a bar and sitting area, a large outdoor bath with hot and cold water, and a hammam with a massage room.
A cook works the house kitchen and prepares all meals, with the cost of food charged separately; daily housekeeping and a resident guard are included.
