The house
A single-storey Moorish house in open countryside, around ten miles south of Marrakech, on its own 7.5-acre plot of olive grove, orchard and lawn. The High Atlas fills the southern horizon from the pool, the terrace and most of the bedrooms.
Every room opens off a central atrium. The main house has two sitting rooms, a dining room and a kitchen, with a principal suite, two further doubles and a family suite. Three one-bedroom suites stand separately in the garden, and two newer garden rooms can be added for larger parties.
The household is already in place: a housekeeper who runs the stay, a chef who cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner from the local markets, a maid, a gardener and a night watchman. Trips into the medina, cooking classes, Atlas trekking and the Ourika valley are arranged from the house.
