About Lamima
A 65-metre wooden phinisi built on the beach at Bira in South Sulawesi by the Haji Baso and Haji Sakka families, then fitted out in Bangkok. Launched in 2014 and refitted in 2024, she is RINA-classed, which is unusual for a traditional Indonesian hull, and her interiors by Marcelo Pena mix warm timber with a contemporary Asian feel.
Fourteen guests sleep in seven en-suite cabins: a master with dressing room, four doubles and two twins. The raised saloon and dining room are wrapped in windows, and outside there is an alfresco dining deck, shaded lounging on the main deck and a broad sundeck. A spa is on board, and a crew of twenty includes two PADI instructors running a dive centre with Nitrox.
She cruises eastern Indonesia, including Komodo and Raja Ampat, and has also been offered in Thailand. Three RIBs, jet skis for use outside the national parks, e-foils, sea scooters, kayaks, surfboards, paddleboards and two traditional jukung canoes are carried.
